I finally made it in here to write a little about myself:) I guess, better late than......(well, you know the rest;)... definitely applies here:)

I'm a writer, and on Friday, Oct.10,2008 the launch of the anthology, A Death in Texas will be held at Katy Budget Books at 2450 Fry Road, Houston, Texas, from 5:00 pm, until 8:00 pm. We'll all be there, signing away, and being interviewed by someone running around with a mic...it oughtta be fun;):)

My short inside the anthology is entitled Dark Pleasures...and is about a psychopath, a criminal psychologist, a detective (named Dick of course;) and a very unusual dog.

Dark Pleasures is the prequel of the novel that follows..

I have another short entitled Siren's Call that will be coming out in the Erotic Dreamspell anthology either later this year, or early 2009.

I recently placed in a LASR contest, with the short entitled The Pan Man...it is available to view after August 7, 2008 at http://www.longandshortreviews.com/LASR/contest.htm

This was a big step to the left of what I normally write, so placing was a delightful surprise. The requirements were for a short under 1,000 words, with a HEA ending, and PG 13 rating....so there ya have it...big move away from the thriller genre';)

And right now, I'm currently working on the last draft of my novel The Midnight Dance/The Devereaux Chronicles.

I live in the Houston area and have recently returned from living in Australia for the past seven years.....I'm married to an Aussie, who I still have to "spell" things out to once in awhile;):) It's been a little like Tarzan and Jane as far as communication at times, but it keeps the laughter flowing!:)

I love Jazz...writing....decorating....and going to The French Quarter:) That's where my first novel is set, in the New Orleans area during the 1800's....so I sashay down every chance I get....to catch the feel, and of course, find a few more tidbits for the second novel that I hope to write if this first one goes:)

Smiling...and waving at everyone...and curling up in front of the large monitor to write again.....

Armidale-seen it-nice town, sort of, Gold Coast, had a friend there, too crass, garish, and I hate the beach anyway. Too bright, too loud [the surf], too sandy! no shade, yelling screaming kids-adults included! - anyway thanks for the kind thoughts aka that unending saga, will get there, if not this century then the next!
till then....

Loretta, the `dogs' are presumably the Canterbury Bulldogs [unless it's AFL] and they got the wooden spoon this year. I suffer the Balmain Tigers who can be called at best a nuiscance team [haha]. Not that into it. Too warped with my science fiction novel which is doing strange things in my head [apart from the voices...]

Hi Loretta, someone from close-ish. thanks for dropping by-good luck with your book promotion, if I had extra cash [whatever that is] I'd join ya for a few drinks.
Well my soggy saga is running out of control [it is sf after all-where a few strange heads bang on]which I've been writing for ever, but the end is nigh [which is probably all I'll get from a publisher- an end not a beginning]
hope you're not a Bronco's supporter [though given your'e in the US I'd forgive ya]
